As we are thinking about where we want to go and who we want to become we need to take a close look at this year and set some SMART goals. Some of us are natural goal setters and can very quickly come up with goals for ourselves. Others of us that time and really think hard before getting to decide what their goals should be.
You are going to be coming up with two goals this year: one personal goal and one academic. You are going to be working on these goals throughout the year and reflecting on your progress using blogger. You are also going to be looking for specific growth of that goal.
You are going to be sharing these goals with your parents at parent teacher conferences in OCTOBER 22!
Personal Goal: It can be based on something that you’d like to accomplish outside of the school building. It can be something centered on learning something new, learning how to build something, donating a specific amount of time to community service, etc. It really depends on what you want to do.
Academic Goal: Think about yourself as a student - what are your strengths and what are your challenges. Are there times when you want to be a better communicator? Maybe you have a goal to be more creative in solving problems or try and show your learning in many different types of ways in the classroom? Maybe you have a goal around reading or math? Please try and come up with one SMART academic goal.
